The Wait is Over! The Pistol Bass Templates Are Here!

Bass templates have been one of our most requested items. But as the Mad Scientist, no template releases before it’s time and it is the best option for building guitars. We have put a ton of features and versatility into these templates so you can safely build the best basses in the world.

We started with the classic “P” style bass kit with a pickguard bases front Rout and the more modern rear cavity (no p/g) rout kit. Then we added versatility at every opportunity.

Continual Guidance: The Mad Scientist is with you the whole way. All templates have the pertinent info (like depth of cuts) engraved right where you need them.

Bridges: We have included the big 3 (“F” Model 1, 2 and 5 hole) bridge mounting standards into every kit, for absolute precision placement of your favorite bridge.

Pickup Routs: P-bass, J-bass, EMG 35 Soap Bar, M/M style are all available for an ultra diverse tonal pallet.

Power: 9v battery box rout is incorporated into our kits for the active electronics so loved for clear low bass tones.
