I’ve used Les Paul templates from many different manufacturers. Steve’s templates are simply the best you can buy. Anyone who has ever struggled with routing pickup ear holes with one template and pickup cavities with another template knows that it is difficult to get the templates to line up correctly. Steve’s genius alignment pin system solves that problem and a host of others. If you are thinking about building a Les Paul, do yourself a favor and buy Steve’s templates. You’ll thank me later.
It was a nice change of pace from spraying, and provides a great alternative that I can apply inside, and everyone loved the citrus smell. As for the necks, the look and feel of this finish is incredible. Flame maple looked fantastic! Great product! Thanks
Solid and beautiful knobs (gold). Put them on a pseudo 58 V with a mahogany body and a ziricote top that is trimmed in gold hardware.
These templates are incredible! The amount of directions and notes that are etched right into them are super helpful too. My old mdf template has my notes that have become worn over time and unreadable. I came across Steve’s videos back in 2021, at a time when I was stuck on my first build. That was before these templates were even offered. He has been a tremendous help along the way, willing to share his knowledge and passion to keep his students motivated. These templates are a welcome addition to the other ones I’ve purchased.
