Haven’t used these yet, but have been extremely happy with all the templates I have received so far.
It was a nice change of pace from spraying, and provides a great alternative that I can apply inside, and everyone loved the citrus smell. As for the necks, the look and feel of this finish is incredible. Flame maple looked fantastic! Great product! Thanks
Solid and beautiful knobs (gold). Put them on a pseudo 58 V with a mahogany body and a ziricote top that is trimmed in gold hardware.
I am an orthodontist by day and hobby guitar maker by weekend. I have a big CNC that I thought would the “easy” way to go if money was no concern. I was wrong. You will spend infinite hours programming a CNC. Bodies are easy but necks were a pain. I never was a fan of templates bc every single one that I saw was MDF and lacked detail, no better than printing plans off the web. Steve’s system with extreme details, quality acrylic and INDEXING PINS makes it a steal and n brainer to get. I bought a haul with my first order and came back to order more once I saw what I received. His videos explain the do’s and dont’s in a way that’s easy to follow. They are also very helpful when trying to choose what you want. Trust me. Don’t go cheap and buy the same MDF plans I did. Also trust me in that a CNC isn’t necessarily faster than templates bc that thing will cut exactly what you tell it which isn’t great if you’re not paying close attention to the computer, programmed bits, etc. Long story short…buy these damn templates!
